Roster Management
Roster Sizes
Each roster may submit up to 30 eligible athlete cards to begin the 1st Match. Only 5 players can be designated Starters.
Total Roster - The entire roster submitted for the tournament, which includes Starters, Bench, and Reserve players
Active Roster - The number of players out of the Total Roster that can score towards fantasy (Starters & Bench Players. Reserve players cannot score points.
Lineup Swaps
Between each round, participants will be able to swap out athletes in their Total Roster with other athlete cards they have in their portfolio. This can be used to replace eliminated players, injured players, or bring on break-out stars.
The marketplace may be used to add or offload player cards during the tournament.
Team Budget
To encourage enhanced strategy and avoid pay-to-win scenarios, rosters submitted to the tournament will have a cap of what can be spent on constructing the lineup. The March Madness Challenge will have a Budget of $250.
The budget is consumed each time an Athlete is added from the Portfolio to the roster. This includes initial roster set up, as well as Lineup Swaps.
All Athletes procured via packs will cost $1 towards the cap.
All Athletes procured via the Marketplace will have a cost equivalent to the purchase price from the Marketplace. For example, an Athlete purchased for $30 in the marketplace will cost $30 in Team Budget to add to the roster.
Rules subject to change.
