NFL Playoff Tournament

3 rounds, $3k in prizes!

We will be hosting an NFL Playoff Tournament over 3 rounds of play (Divisional Round, Conference Championships, Superbowl)


There will be winners declared for each round, as well as overall winners. No entry fee required.

Round Prizes

Round Rankings determined by fantasy points scored in that particular round. Each round features a set of prizes for the top finishers:

  • 1st Place - $200

  • 2nd Place - $100

  • 3rd Place - $50

Overall Prizes

Overall Rankings determined by overall performance across 3 rounds using a cumulative Percentile that is summed across rounds.

Percentile Ranking

You earn more points the higher on the leaderboard you finish each round. For example, if you score higher than 99% of competitors in a round, you earn 99 pts. However, if you only score higher than 47% of competitors, you only earn 47 pts towards your Overall ranking.

To qualify for overall prize, you must participate in all 3 rounds.

  • 1st Place - $1000

  • 2nd Place - $500

  • 3rd Place - $300

  • 4th Place - $75

  • 5th Place - $75

Tie breaker will be total cumulative fantasy points across 3 rounds.

Overall Rankings will be posted on social media and discord between rounds.

Gameplay

The Marketplace will be open for transactions during the tournament.

Roster Management & Fantasy Points scoring will be the same as our Shootout format during the NFL regular season.

Salary Cap

To encourage enhanced strategy and avoid pay-to-win scenarios, rosters submitted to the tournament will have a cap of what can be spent on constructing the lineup. The NFL Playoff Salary cap will be $150

The budget is consumed each time an Athlete is added from the Portfolio to the roster.


All Athletes procured via the Marketplace will have a cost equivalent to the purchase price from the Marketplace. For example, an Athlete purchased for $30 in the marketplace will cost $30 in Salary Cap to add to the roster.


Payouts

Prizes will be credit to the winner’s Metavarsity accounts. Balances can be withdrawn via USDC on the Polygon network within the month following the Superbowl.
